Watching stuff

Alright........... so what have i been upto.....

well, i lost my copy of Samurai Champloo coz i lent it out ages ago so i'm trying to get that back coz it's a really nice anime. Very cool, hip hop samurai style, created by the creators of Cowboy Bebop, so it's definitely a good watch in my opinion.... besides that........ i went to play badminton yesterday and i ate aftewards at chillipadi, which i then also commented on my whatsopen.com.au site =)



I also watched "Only Yesterday" by Studio Ghibili, I've been looking over the net to obtain all the ghibili films because they're soo good =) This one is very very decent. I must admit that i was quite surprised that i enjoyed it so much. The story is very good, talks about a girl who grew up in the country, went to work in the city, then went back to country for a holiday etc... sounds boring? Well, you need patience to appreciate this film, coz it has subtle deep meanings just as most ghibili films do.


I also watched Snatch and Lock Stock and 2 Smokin Barrells again. Heheheh these films kinda remind me of the good ol days... hahah snatch, back then, was soo funny! Especially when they introduce the 'get away driver' "TYRONE" lolz: Just an extract of bits from the movie:


*Tyrone reverses and smashes the car into a van*
Person A: "Tyrone ya done"
Tyrone: "Look, you ask for me, you see what happens"
Person A: "Nah don't move it now, otherwise people will see the damage.... whatdya do that for?"
Tyrone: "I didn't see it there"
Person A: "It's a 4 tonne truck Tyrone, it's not as though it's a packet of ****'n peanuts is it?"
Tyrone: "It was a funny angle"

Anyhow,

went out to Dave Lee's birthday party tonight. Was alright, got to meet up with so many old IGS guys, was good =) Also got to meet some of their friends etc so a lot of catchin up and a lot of just talking etc. Now, i gotta sleeeeep. Enjoy people =) Night!

update!

ok......... so what's been happening this week..........

i went to baddy on monday and again, i trained and also played afterwards, almost beat simon, but lost 15-13 coz i was buggered, then i played jacky and i lost 11-6.

Ummm, I went to baddy on tuesday but it was really tiring and i only stayed halfway coz my body sorta told me that i'm a little fatigued lolz, so anywayz today's wendesday and i rested =)

serviced mum's car, got new tyres and what else did i do...... oh....... an interesting thing......

my 180GB WD DIED!~!~~~!~! and i revived it.......~!!~~!~!~! you're prolly wondering huh? wth? how the heck do u revive a western digital hard drive? Well, it seems that hard drives hate heat, and i think i exposed it to too much heat because i cramped all these hard drive together and yeah it probably didn't like it.........

i should really invest in those hard drive coolers

ANYWAY, what happened was......... i was TRYING to backup stuff onto my 180 coz i wanna empty my 80gb hdd, and so, i was cloning my main hdd onto the 180, then when i booted it started CLICKING!!! yes, hard drive clicking, go google it........ so anywayz, it was like, CLICK CLICK CLICK *PAUSE* CLICK CLICK CLICK*, and it wouldn't read and wouldn't boot up........ at this stage i'm like OMG, all my photos from like yrs and yrs, and so i plugged my 80gb back in as my main, and i researched on the internet.

Found a GLAD snap lock bag
chucked my hdd in
froze it for a good 3-4 hours
took it out of the freezer and snap lock bag
plugged it in and ran it as a slave
turned on comp
clicking started again but this time it was much quieter
computer STILL didn't read the drive
turned off comp
made sure connections were all good
turned on comp
went to bios
checked things were good
then turned off comp
and on again
VOILA~!!~ boots into windows, i can read my drive!!!

got all my stuff out, then shortly after, had to leave, turned my comp off
2am now, and i turned my comp on an hour ago, my 180gb WD is prolly at ambient temp around 45 degrees or so, and NO CLICKING!!! but of course, i'm not gonna use it to store anything i think, i'll just see how it goes for a while......

=) GO GLAD FREEZER SNAP LOCK BAGS!!!



hmmmm, on a side note, i think there's something wrong with my java platform, i try playing kavinhoo.com songs in IE and it freezes sometimes, whereas firefox is fine...... gotta update my java i guess
