funerals?
You guys ever been to one? I was reading a blog recently and i was interested in what it said. It talked about how at funerals, you notice that all the things that family members and friends tend to talk about the deceased are about things that last, things that are eternal. Not the brand of clothes someone wears, what brand makeup she has on, or how this person earned a lot of money, had a nice job, had a fancy car etc, but they mention things about how this person has made them laugh throughout their life, how this person always smiled, this person gave inspiration to others, friendships which have been cultivated, their personalities, their heart...........

Exams
Well, it's the time of the year when everyone is preparing for exams. Some people have hard exams and some people have easy exams. It's all about time and understanding. Hopefully we have both. Otherwise we're all pretty stuffed =p. Time is against me as usual. My subjects are also against me. Seems like i can't get done all i want to do coz there's just too much too do and also, uni's not the only part of my life, so i still have other things to do. This semester's been pretty tough and i've been working pretty hard. Mainly because i don't want to do the subjects again, and also because i wanna lessen my load in 2nd semester next year. Next year i'll have project work... then
Sem1 :
Digital Communications
Communication Networks
Project Management
Sem2:
Wireless Comm
If i can perfectly (hopefully) pass my subjects this semester, it'll offload a lot of pressure on my in sem2. I'm doing this subject called Signal Processing at the moment which is quite impossible. They've taken a 4th year subject and brought it down to 3rd year level for "testing" this year, and the lecturer isn't very willing to make it any easier......no tute answers, if you haven't done prelab or it's not satisfactory u get 0%/10% for your lab, you won't be admitted to do the hardware part if you haven't done prelab. Pre lab is worth 8/10. And this subject is OPTIONAL and i decided to choose it for WHAT reason??~!?!~?
Anywayz, there's enough things to worry about let alone my subjects. Right now i gotta focus on getting through these exams, and even if i do fail my signal processing or digital systems 3, i can do extra stuff in sem2 next year to make up for it, and it won't hinder my graduation date of EXPECTED end of 2006. Lolz, expected..... funny word that..... i reckon half the engineers don't graduate in their expected expectancy =p
But do we like what we do? MMmmeh, it's better than anything else out there..... sure we complain about how our course is so hardcore compared to others, but we take pride in that because people think getting H2A or H2B is a let down, when we could probably kick butt in what they do =p Sorry if i'm offending all those commerce people out there, or medical background or law =p
Anyhow, i'm just waiting to goto a wedding right now.... it's Saturday morning, and i'd rather be confined to a library (how sad). But this guy's an old mate, and i haven't seen him for ages, so hopefully this will indeed be a glorious celebration of their unionism. I know i'm using words that don't make sense, but sometimes they make more sense than those that don't.
After uni, i'll prolly take some time off to go party and have some "fun". Maybe go on a few road trips, go paintballing, go laser skermishing, go snookering =p Found some new friends in Eng this semester who also like to go road tripping, so they can add to our bunch =o. Of course, we won't be doing stupid things, but we'll still be havin a lot of fun.
Over and out
